5,000 Tree Goal

As a community we have managed to plant over 6000 trees on the Okahukura Reserve. But, we still have 5000 seedlings that need to get in the ground before winter.

To reach our goal we are going to have a tree planting weekend on the following dates.

Tree Planting Weekend

Saturday May 8 Sunday May 9

10:00 - 2:30pm

Come and join us at the DOC Walkway Carpark at either or both dates.

Bring a spade and something to eat and drink

If we can get a group of 50 people planting 50 trees each over two days it will be another significant milestone for Okahukura Reserve achieved by the community.

This is a great way to get your family involved in an event that helps our unique and special part of the world.
